FEGGA News…

1) The Board have recently made a decision to postpone the FEGGA Conference which was planned for 22-25 February 2022. Events regarding Covid throughout Europe have changed dramatically over the last two weeks and the Board do not feel comfortable and do not think it would be responsible for us to continue to plan for a February event. With the planning involved, both for FEGGA and you the Associations, we feel it’s better for us to make this decision now and not delay further.

We are however very motivated to bring us all together as soon as this becomes responsibly viable for FEGGA. We are now proposing a new date in April, when hopefully things might have settled down and travel throughout Europe will be in a better place. We are conscious of getting your feedback before we make any commitment for this new date and would be very grateful if you would answer some questions relating to creating a new date in April. (April 5 – 8 or April 26 – 29)

2) As you are aware FEGGA has been part of a Sterf project looking at many aspects of MLSN, undertaken by NIBIO University. We have at recent FEGGA Conferences provided updates from NIBIO through varies Presentations. The SUSPHOS project has now finished, and during November Anne Friederike Borchert delivered her master thesis from Work Package 3 in the SUSPHOS project of which I have attached for your information. As an addition to Anne Friederikes project on SUSPHOS Work Package 4, I also attach for you the PP-presentation from her Master Thesis.

Soon STERF will arrange a webinar with a focus on fertilization, and during the webinar the findings in the SUSPHOS project will also be disseminated. I will when we have more information contact you with a date and possibility of you attending.
