On 18.10.2021 in the golf resort Panorama Golf Resort in Kácov took place the exam for the profession of greenkeeper according to the qualification standard Greenkeeper (code: 41-131-H), which is provided as an authorized person by the Czech Greenkeepers Association, z. The actual exam was preceded by a week-long practical course at the Ropice Golf Resort from 11.10 to 15.10. The examiners were Michal Voigts and Ondřej Hotový and the supervisors of the practical course were Jaroslav Pavelčák and Jaroslav Oravec. Thanks to all of them for their professional work.

Additional thanks go to the staff of Ropice Golf Resort, especially Lech Kubik and Jan Wolny, who made it possible to conduct the practical course at the aforementioned resort in Ropice. At the same time, we would like to thank Ondřej Hotový and the director Tomáš Malec from Panorama Golf Resort Kácov for the perfect environment and cooperation in the implementation of the greenkeeper exam. The examination was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Education and Guidance, who supervised the course of the examination.

The exam is the culmination of a long-term training based on European standards, which includes a theoretical part (elearning – Moodle), practice on the course and an intensive practical course. The outcome for the students is a certificate, which is valid throughout Europe and which, in addition to the Czech Greenkeeper Association, is also guaranteed by the Ministry of Agriculture.

The successful graduates of our course were mostly golf course employees who were genuinely interested in expanding their knowledge and skills. Most of them applied for membership in our association and were accepted into the ranks of the CSG on the basis of a successful examination.
