Dear Members, As announced in the recent Q1 report the FEGGA Board is now in the process of undertaking a review of GT-E and the future needs of education. as a further step the next Summit for focus on this subject. FEGGA Education Summit   Duration will be 90 minutes and will start at 14.00hrs CEST (13.00 BST) on the 16th June.

. Introduction by Andreas Leutgeb (FEGGA Board Member)  . Overview of Greenkeepers Training Europe (GT-E) which sits under the umbrella of FEGGA. It will focus on why it was set up, why the Pan European Standards were created and how they have benefited the industry   Dean Cleaver (EO   FEGGA)
. What education exists today, what are the current challenges, and what are Countries looking for in their future development . We will have a selection of Countries providing examples of what currently exists, what their own challenges are in setting up and delivering formal education for Greenkeepers   Speakers to date include Yavor Atanasov (Bulgaria)   Kamil Pe enka (Czech Republic)
. Looking at the future. Is there still a need for the Pan European Standards (we think there is). What should the focus be for GT-E in the future? How can the GT-E provide future support for FEGGA Member Associations . Golf Course 2030 has through SRUC Elmwood Campus looked at what the future needs of Greenkeeper education will be, and they will share their thoughts and findings  Wendy Cole (R&A) and Paul Miller (SRUC Elmwood Campus) will jointly present their findings . We will introduce the Swedish Greenkeepers Association newly created Education App. We are keen to hear your feedback and how this might fit into the future needs of education, especially within the workplace   Goran Tyrsing (Swedish Greenkeepers Association)  . We will also be looking at the GT-E website and whether now is the right time to combine it with the FEGGA website   Dean Cleaver (EO – FEGGA)
