CGF President Zdeněk Kodejš recalled the key tasks of last year, including the application of GDPR to the golf environment and the fulfillment of other tasks from last year’s conference.

Last year, traditionally sports results brought joy. “We have seen another shift in terms of the success of Czech golf. And it’s not just about Klára Spilková, whose progress on LPGA is a huge success. We can also hear a lot about other players and we are glad that we can help their growth by joining us in organizing professional tournaments of lower series, ”said Kodejš, recalling the achievements of young talent and increasing the youth base of Czech golf.

This is related to the support of youth, but unfortunately the support of sport from government bodies lags behind. “I have never experienced such a chaos as it is at present in the financing of sport by the state. Perhaps a positive outlook for the future could be the establishment of the National Sport Agency, where we are trying to be active, which is the necessity for the fifth sport, according to the number of registered players, ”he added.

He commemorated this year’s premiere season under the new rules as well as the upcoming global handicap. “There was an agreement between the organizations, EGA will join the system at its June conference. It will come into effect on 1 January next year, ”said Kodejš.
