Finished the Seminar and Conference ČSG 2019

On the premises of the Czech Technical University in Prague, a traditional two-day seminar, with which ČSG joined its 20th annual conference, took place from 30th to 31st January. Present welcomed Czechoslovak President Michal Voigts and union secretary Karel Kubat, the ALE Libecajt greeting the ČGF event and the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences in Prague prof. Dr. Ing. František Kumhála, Head of the Department of Machinery of the Technical Faculty.

In the circular hall (Faculty of Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague) a number of our and foreign experts presented their lectures. On the first day Mrs. Professor Radka Kodešová from the Department of Soil and Soil Protection of the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague started the lecture on Water in Soil. Georg Armbruster was followed by a jurist expert obw, with a lecture on Water Balance in Soil – porosity and pore distribution. He has also approached the results of the construction of the Son Gual / Mallorca golf course. Jiří Lahodný, head of the Czech Greenkeeper, described the preparation of the French golf course Le Golf National in Paris at the Ryder Cup 2018. Troon’s Jordan Fairweather Scottish head Greenkeeper introduced the newly emerging generous Oaks Prague project in Nebřice u Velké Popovice and PGA National. He pointed out the specifics and the unconventional way of solving some of the elements, the interest being, for example, the use of hydrous to achieve the desired effect. The first lecture on the second day was the use of modern irrigation technologies in extremely dry periods – Michal Čermák from Ittec mentioned the irrigation in a higher standard or so-called irrigation. He gave an example that annual watering costs represent a sum of 200 to 800 thousand crowns per playground. Jitka Štěpánková from ÚKZÚZ gave a lecture on POR, minor registration, control activity. It highlighted the obligation to purchase chemical products exclusively from a registered distributor, more frequent and rigorous controls, and a new obligation to provide the necessary data. In conclusion, Dalibor Procházka (ČGF) acquainted the audience with the regular news. The report on the activities of the Association in 2018 was presented by Ing. Michal Voigts. He mentioned two last year’s most important events that were very successful – the ČSG Annual Tournament in Darovanský Dvůr and the Greenkeeper Winter School in Lednice in Moravia. The Conference ordered the CGF Executive Committee to continue to train members of the CGF, including through the already proven courses of Meteorology, Grass Biotope Microscopy and Hydraulics. At the end of the conference, which also confirmed the current 192 union members (12 applications are in solution), a social evening was held. The success of the event also contributed to the presentation of the most interesting activities, mechanization and products of the Union Patrons, which were exhibited inside the Circular Hall.
